SXSW Puzzle Hunt

In 2017, I collaborated with Adam Savage (former Mythbuster and Editor of Tested.com) on a special puzzle hunt launched during South by Southwest festival. I created nine puzzle pieces, each representing a creative field - from woodworking and electronics, to music and food. Using historic photographs and patent drawings as reference, I drew a series of intricate digital renderings, which I then laser cut onto tonal layers of plywood, shaped as interlocking puzzle pieces.

Each puzzle piece was hidden at a secret location in Austin, Texas where participants could find them during the festival, following clues and riddles based in historical trivia. When all the pieces were collected, we gathered at the Thinkery to assemble the completed puzzle with Adam.
